Team Good Sign has been creating a positive social movement around the world for over 10 years by sharing Good Signs large and small

Since 2010 we have been spreading Hope, Joy, Gratitude and Love to the community by carrying and sharing Good Signs.

There are so many great stories of hearts that have been touched, people who have been lifted up and encouraged, even relationships that have been initiated or rekindled for many through the experience of “Good Signing”.

The basic intention of the Good Sign movement is to alleviate suffering by spreading a visual reminder of hope, gratitude and positivity. To create more human connection and help build up the community.

Goal: To ultimately create more happiness in the world.

That’s why I am making all of our products FREE or at/near my cost In hopes of creating much more momentum for this movement at a time when it is needed the most.

The simple and FUN act of sharing a Good Sign can really make an impact on our world.

Creating human connection one person and one interaction at a time.

The Good Sign origin story:

My brother Jesse with our first large printed sign that I just finished carrying all around NYC.
My brother Jesse

In the years leading up to 2010, I was definitely seeing a lot of signs. It was a transformative time in my life.

I was beginning to see myself as the creative force I am, both artistically and philosophically. I spent a lot of time reflecting deeply on life and the experiences that had shaped me into the person I had become. I began to feel a pull toward something more—something meaningful that could positively impact others in a lasting way. I just didn’t know what it was yet. But I knew I was being guided. I could feel that I was headed toward something that might help create a powerful ripple in the world.

My brother Jesse came down to visit me in Florida during a particularly difficult moment in this process—and that’s when The Good Sign was born. It’s actually a pretty funny story. We were at a mall in St. Augustine, sitting in my truck in the parking lot. We were trying to figure out a way to connect with people in a meaningful way in a community that was basically foreign to us. I don’t remember the exact conversation, but it went something like this: I said “we should make a sign and just sit on a bench in the mall—let people come up to us, start conversations, and inspire them to at least start asking us questions” I might have even said something like, “It’s got to be a really good sign—not just some crappy thing people will ignore.” We wanted to get noticed.

Then my brother said something so simple it hit like lightning: “It should just say, This is a good sign.” That was it. That was the sign I had been asking for—literal and symbolic. I felt it in my bones.

Jesse is a very talented person—an artist, a writer, and someone with a lot of meaningful things to say. If I’m being honest, he’s a crucial part of this movement. He was the one who initially voiced the raw concept of what has now become an iconic message—something I’ve carried, along with thousands of others all around the world, for a decade and a half. From that moment in the truck, a worldwide movement was taking root. I recognized it immediately as the thing I had been looking for.

We first tested it out on a simple black-and-white, rectangular design—something like a speed limit sign. We printed it on plain paper. People liked it, but many said, “This is cool, but we can just print this out ourselves.” That’s when I had the inspiration for the yellow caution-shaped logo. We went to a local graphic designer, explained the vision, and that’s where the first Good Sign logo came from.

Jesse solidified whatever had been brewing in the ether at that moment. But there was also a lot that led up to it—so much that had to happen for me to recognize it, be deeply inspired by it, and feel the fire to push it forward with everything I had. There were times leading up to that moment when I literally cried out for a sign. And something deep inside always whispered: You’ll know it when you see it.

That yearning—that search for a creative spark that could truly take the world by storm in a good way—started back in 2007. And when it finally arrived I knew this was the exact thing I had been waiting for.
